Elevation Therapeutic
Meet Latoya,
I’m Latoya Smith, and I value wellness in every dimension—physical, mental, and spiritual. If we work together, you’ll likely be sharing a lot with me, so I want you to know who I am, too.

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, the middle child in a big family of seven. I’m a married mother of two amazing boys and a proud “boy mom.” I find joy in the rhythm of 90’s R&B, and I’m always learning—especially through books on personal development, finance, and mental health. A couple of my favorites: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest.

Like most humans, I’ve faced my share of challenges and trauma. I’ve sat on both sides of the therapy room—as a client and as a clinician. I’ve received therapy, coaching, and counseling, and those experiences have shaped not only how I practice, but how I live. I know what it’s like to feel vulnerable, to seek support, and to grow through it. That’s why I prioritize my mental health above all else. I practice what I preach.

More about me...
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida with over a decade of experience supporting adults through life’s most challenging seasons. My clinical focus includes helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, and major life transitions—whether that’s a career shift, relationship change, or the complex journey of grief.
I use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. My goal is to empower you with practical tools and compassionate insight so you can feel more grounded, confident, and aligned with your values.
Beyond the therapy room, I’m deeply committed to advancing the field of social work. I actively mentor aspiring clinicians on their path to licensure and career growth, and I lead initiatives that expand access to effective, culturally responsive care. I believe therapy should be both accessible and transformative—and I’m passionate about making that a reality.
